Product Overview

The Stainless Steel Double-Sided Pig Feeder is a heavy-duty feeding trough designed for grower and finisher pigs in group housing systems. The feeder is manufactured entirely from food-grade stainless steel, with two feeding rows so that pigs can eat from both sides of the unit at the same time. This double-sided layout doubles the number of animals that can feed from one unit, which is particularly valuable in larger pens where space is limited and competition at feed time can be high. The trough is divided into several compartments by internal dividers, so each pig has its own eating space and cannot push other animals away from the feed. The design also includes an adjustable feeding mechanism that controls the rate at which feed is released, reducing waste and keeping the feeding area clean. Because the entire unit is made of stainless steel, it is highly resistant to corrosion, easy to clean and very durable, even with daily use in wet and dusty conditions. Technical Specifications

The feeder is manufactured from 304 stainless steel with a wall thickness of 1.2 mm on the main body and 1.0 mm on the dividers. The overall length of the unit is 1200 mm, the width is 700 mm and the height is 320 mm, giving a total capacity of approximately 60 litres of dry feed. The unit provides eight feeding positions, four on each side, and each position is 280 mm wide. The feed release is controlled by an adjustable plate with five settings, allowing the farm to match the flow to the feed type and the size of the pigs. The feeder is supplied with mounting brackets and bolts, so it can be fixed to a wall or stand on the floor as preferred. The complete unit weighs approximately 45 kg. All edges are rounded for safety, and the surface is brushed and passivated for easy cleaning. Optional accessories include a larger version of 1500 mm length with ten feeding positions and a version with a galvanised base for outdoor use.

Manufacturing & Quality

The feeder is produced in our own factory under a strict quality system. The stainless steel sheet is laser cut to the developed blank, then formed on a press brake and welded with TIG welding to give a strong, leak-proof body. Every weld is ground and polished, and the complete unit is cleaned and passivated to protect the surface against corrosion. Each feeder is inspected for dimensions, weld quality, surface finish and the operation of the feed control before packing, and a sample from every batch is tested for load capacity and the strength of the welds. Because the unit is made from one piece of metal with no joints that can come apart, it is very strong and safe for the animals. The stainless surface stays bright and hygienic for many years, and the feeder is exported in reinforced cartons with the mounting kit and instruction sheet, so the customer receives a complete, ready-to-install product.

Applications

This double-sided feeder is used in grower and finisher group pens, dry sow group housing and boar pens, where several animals must be fed from one unit. The double-sided layout is especially suited to large pens with a high stocking density, because it lets more pigs eat at the same time and reduces aggression at feed time. The feeder works with dry pelleted feed, meal feed and wet feeding systems, and the adjustable feed control allows the farm to set the correct ration for each stage of growth. Regular washing with hot water and detergent keeps the stainless surface bright and hygienic, and the unit does not require any special tools for daily maintenance.
